haha yea that's marco's supra allright. He's located out in Chicago. I remember the day where he went to Texas 2k3 out of nowhere, and killed the records. My mechanic works on his supra a lot.

Nice!!

My buddy has a 2nd gen eclipse. He is running a high 12's quarter mile in SLC (4800 ft above sea level). I watched him drag race a viper at Rocky Mountain Raceway. I think it was the GTS Viper, anyways his Eclipse beat him, and he has 8 cyl less than him!

I've only been without my Eclipse for a week now and I'm already missing the horsepower. Up here in Denver I usually had a tick or two on a stock Viper which was a good ego buster with just 122 cubic inches and AWD which was the equalizer.

What did that Supra run in the 1/4? We had a guy locally in our car club run an 11.2@124mph up here at 5800ft in full street trim save for a pair of drag radials. He laid down 627 horses to the wheels with 24psi going through his T-88 single turbo conversion with a completly stock bottom end on that 3.0L. Toyota sure built one hell of a motor in those things.

That's gotta be quite a change going from a 13 sec eclipse to a 4Runner. My 4Runner is supercharged and it still "feels" slow compared to my Celica...

Yeah, the Runner feels pretty doggish but my daily back and forth to work vehicle is a '90 Subi Loyale 4WD wagon and the 4Runner feels quick compared to that.

I'm gonna GTech the 4Runner tonite just to see what it pulls;I'm guessing (hoping) it's just under 20 seconds.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Vipers have V-10's. Unless your buddies eclipse runs on 2 cylinders.

With a good clutch burn you should be in the low 16's at the track. Just watch out for that "brick wall" at 80MPH...

Expect a trap in the upper 70's low 80's.

*EDIT* (at sea level)

So,up here under 18 is possible;we lose a second up here generally with an NA engine due to the lack of oxygen. My Eclipse would have easily run mid 12s at sea level.

Do you guys remember the last Supra vs. Viper post a few months ago?
That Supra had a parachute to slow down!

Supra (mkIV) hands down, its lighter more responsive, holds the road better and there are multiple mods that you can do to it compared to the viper ( last i heard there was one mod that costs about $100k just so that you can add NOS)

Put that supra up against this bad boy. http://www.fantasycars.com/derek/car...erstryker.html I still love supra's, but this thing would fly!
