small pictures

Can somebody tell me how to make my pictures smaller? I have some really nice pictures taken from my dig camera. They are huge even on the lowest quality. How can I resize them so that I can email them to friends and family. I want to be able to do it on my comp. thanks

Depends on the software you have to edit pictures. Most have a resize option under one of the main menus, edit or effects. I usually change the larger of the 2 to 640, and it will size it nicely. Still good size, but well under 1mg in filesize. I'll usually rename the smaller one & keep a full size and a small version, in case I want to print from the bigger one later.

I have posted this before and use it often works wonders and if you have XP it works great. Download image resizer then in windows explorer or what ever you prefer just right click and pick resize and pick the size you want.
