see the new 2007 tahoe???

http://www.chevrolet.com/tahoe/2007/photogallery/

not bad, but i'm not drooling over it either.

but the thing that got my attention is that they're releasing the new 2007 model on Jan 10th, 2006... next thing you know, we'll have 2010 models available in 2008....

stupid car sales gimmicks.

i read a review of it.

i cant remember where it was (ill go home and see if it was an article in a mag or if it was online), but they made references to the truck feeling rather "loosely put together". they said it rode smoothly and quietly, and that it was comfortable and powerful, but that it just felt loose.

not sure what that means, but to me that means GM.

GM can't offer you a quality vehicle, so they offer you a 2007 in the year 2006.

Every auto manufacturer offers the next years models a year early. It’s just that most of them do it in the fall, not the first part of the year. After all the “employee discounts” and other discounts that they were offering, I think they are trying to jump start business due to the bad sales year in 2005.

Don’t forget that it’s been rumored the 2007 FJ Cruiser will be out in the next month or two…

I drive a 2000 Suburban at work. We call it the Suburb. It's all of the above, smooth and quiet and comfortable, and loose. It handles like you'd expect a mammothly heavy truck to handle. I actually enjoy driving it (I have a light foot and seldom hurry anywhere), especially on longer trips. But if I had things my way, it would be classified as a UV instead of an SUV.

I don't really mind it. I had a 95 Tahoe and that loose feeling theyre talking about is how it drives and how you feel in the truck itself. It's so big and cushy on the inside and the suspension is so bouncy and airy feeling that it feels like you gonna slide out of your seat with every turn. I think the styling looks pretty good, but I will never own another Tahoe. I'm just glad they didn't take the styling from the Avalanche front end and use it on this.

true, although toyota is having some problems right now. notice the new rav4 did not come out early at all. also, i read on one of the autobiz sites that part of the reason toyota purchased subaru from gm was to gain more engineering personel, and it also said that subaru will be doing the redesign of one of toyotas main models very soon (im thinking corrolla) maybe the FJ was originally scheduled for an 06 model year rollout, which should have put it out already. not saying thats the case, but toyota has alot of stuff on their plate right now(especially the challenges they are facing in china, hot competion going on there, and toyota is struggling somewhat in that market) i hope the purchase of subaru will work out like they hope. im just waiting for the day when its announced that there will be no more toyota or general motors........................... toyota general motors (TGM) it willl happen, its inevitable

well, unless anti trust stuff comes into play

Let's just hope the 2008 Toyota doesn't come out the end of this year.

That looks to me that it is the Expedition... the Excursion is longer.

i see lots of differnces.. the ford doesnt ahve the on-star antenna, the middle window is made up of 2 windows (main one and a little wing). the ford has runningboards. the ford has duel 5 spokes rims. it had smaller tail lights. the ford has orange turning signals on the mirror. the chevy has bigger door handles too.

what were you smoking when you thought it looked like a ford... GOSH

Doesn't this play with the re-sale values?

The employee discount will take a toll on resale values when people try to sell them because they didn't pay "full price" so dealers know this, and the public may forget, but I don't think it helps in the long run.

I lost a year off my inspection on the XRunner because I had to get it registered in '05. Now I have to go to inspection in Nov. 2009 and not Nov. 2010.

yeah, that is a pic of the expedition, not the excursion. I LOVE the excursion, and it figures ford stops making it, any info if the new taho has Independant all the way around like expedition, if so, its basically just a big mini-van.

I read somewhere that GM rushed all of their newly redone suv's up one year because of fear of having a really bad 2006. Makes me wonder how this will relate to quality.
