The tactical is the 5" version. Seems to be very difficult to locate a place that has it in stock or can get it for me in less than 45-60 days. Anybody know of a place that has them in stock? I'm looking for a black one, high capacity mag, preferably no night sights but will take it if that is all I can find. I will not buy a used one and will not go to a 4" inch or 45 or 40 or 357, I can get those all day long in town and on the net. I want the 9mm in 5" in black with hi-cap mag. any help is appreciated. J.

That was me holmes. I was on my way to Top Gun to shoot.

I ended up going with the XD-40 Tactical High Capacity (12 rnd) at Carter's Country for only $489!! See pic below. I figured I wanted more stopping power than the 9mm so I'll get a 9mm for the wife later. It shoots great, accurate as all get up! The slide looks kind of green in the pic but the whole gun is black. I've already put over 500 rounds through it, AND NOT ONE JAM!!! The only time it jammed is when I shot some 165 gr. Blazer Brass FMJ rounds, it didn't like those so I tossed that box out and went back to 180 gr. American Eagle FMJ for the range and it absolutely loves those, not one jam. I had to clean it real good after the Blazers though, those are some dirty POS's! I only fired about 30 of those rounds and it was aweful.

The wife is looking at the Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm, which I wouldn't be too unhappy if she got that, haha, I like that one too.
