This is not directed at anybody here, just people at school who seem to think my truck belongs in the scrap heap, I just want to clear some stuff up

I DO NOT Think my truck is:

The Best- Never said it was. I just said it worked for me.
The Most Powerful- When in my commute do I need a v8?
4 Wheel Drive- Once again, for what I use it for, when do I need it?

I KNOW my truck is:

An Import- Once again, never said it wasn't, whatever works for you is fine with me.
A "redneck" rig- Reflects the owner

Dependable- Load after load, mile after mile, its always been there for me. If you want to tell me its not, you can shove it. What experience do you have that tells you its not reliable?

Sorry, I was kind of mad at some of my so-called "friends" today.

A truck is a truck, you own it 100%. Nobody can take it from you, thats what matters.

The one that was making fun of it the most drives a 60's chevy car. (He can't drive for another month). Kinda makes me mad but that rant helped.

So, heres basically what he says, "You're trucks a POS", I say, "What are you driving to school". He responds, "I'd rather walk than drive a piece of crap import toyota"

I think your friend is only spewing prejudice and doesn't know why he hates imports. I bet his dad blindly worships Chevys and rags on anything foreign. Someday he will grow up & base opinions on fact. Or not. Just ignore what he says and let him walk.

That scenario fits me perfectly when I was in my teens. My first car was a '62 Impala. Now I choose vehicles based on what they are & not what label is on it. I still love old Chevys, but I have a Toyota truck and Honda motorcycle.

F em, you what your truck is and what it can handle i used to get crap like that from all the hicks at school because they drive huge fords or chevys that can do crap except plow through mud. they said it is unamerican to drive a import. then i told em that mine was made in america and theres was prolly made in mexico or somewhere, that shut em up.

LoL what an idiot. The line that I always used to upset people in high school that used to rag me for my Ghia, and I'm not saying you should, always made them have to think. Usually they figured out the insult AFTER I was a safe distance away heh. It was something along the lines, Oh yeah well your living proof that anal conception is possible. Even if the dummies didn't get the insult, made me feel a lot better

Seriously he sounds like a moron. Simply go something like, well if my Toyota is a POS whats the vehicle that you drive?!? Seeing that Toyota is right there to being the #1 vehicle in the USofA. Yours must really be a dog then.

Why do concern yourself with what people think about your truck? i don' give a crap what anybody thinks about my truck, i own it cause it's reliable, it's got outstanding ground clearance, great shift-on-the-fly 4WD, funtional interior with nice creature-comforts, and i love the looks and i would own an import sooner than a domestic. I also love the look of your truck. i hope to own one as a Daily Driver.

High school is stupid and college isn't much better (especially with all of the spolied kids at ASU that drive more expensive cars than my parents)

Heres a nice story for you.

I remember awhile back a friend of mine asked how much I was selling my first gen for. I told him id sell it to him for $3200 since he was a friend of mine. Later he told a mutual friend how I was a dumbass and that my POS 4Runner wasn't going to sell for more than $1200.

I sold it for $3500 two months later..
