Proud New Owner of a Yota 4X4 Pickup!!!

Ok, welll after about 30 min of searching for a Newbies Introduction Thread, im making one here!!!

Hello to all... I just picked up my first Yota yesterday... i have an 85(second gen i think) Toyota Pickup with 4x4 and a 4in lift and a bad attuitude... In otherwords, shes got some problems. But i hope to fix it soon...

Not even a full 24 hours and I absolutly love that truck I think a Forum Member here Traded it to me for a 1979 Mazda RX7... I kind wanted a smaller truck anyways... but this one is the coolest one ive ever seen...
anyway just stoping to say that i cant wait to get into the world of small truck offroading!!!
Thanks,
Tim

I dont know his name on here, but the truck is unmistakable... Unique... Ill post some pics in a bit... I think its the only truck EVER to have moodswings or PMS... When warmup, it will not idle and runs PIG rich... after about 30min it gets pissed off and runs like an angel...(god...women...) Any Idea on what I should search on?

Btw, can someone point me to the Newbies Learning Facility?(A crashcourse in yota trucks?) So far I know that i have a Carburated 22R 2.4L 4cyl engine and that am 85 is a Gen 2... thats it.
Thanks Agian.

I'm with ya!
Just got my first Toy. 92 pickup 22re with 197K. I'm gonna take care of it, just need to learn how. Mine came with a Chilton and it sucks. I have the common steering stops problem but couldn't find how to replace the caps or lube the joint in that manual. Thank goodness for yotatech.

Check out the FAQ http://www.yotatech.com/~corey/4runner_faq.htmLook around a while, there is a wealth of information on here.
(FWIW, your 85 would be a 1st gen if it was a runner)
Good luck and, WELCOME!

Yeah, i was thinking about that since RPUs are IMPOSSIABLE to find, but 20B(three rotor Engine) is an expensivly hard engine to come by... maby a 13BT possiably... or a 77 Corrolla Liftback with a Carbed 12A or 13B with EFI

btw Lt.Dan Linky no worky...

Oh, and that blinking yellow search button at the top of the page comes in MIGHTY handy.
