Yes it was. But they do have a point, even if they are a might stuck on themselves.

It's just that here we are a lot more tolerant of other people (and we have rules on flaming). So they can say stuff like that and we can't. If someone asked me how to change a tire (and it wasn't a girl), I'd be tempted to say something really sarcastic. :pat:

lol....dont worry those guys are jerks to everyone....if kinda funny forum sometimes but alot of serious offroaders use it.
I was reading through there and a newbie asked a question about something trivial and a mod responded "Your stupid and you should kill yourself"....heheh its kinda funny but if they are so elite they should make it an invite only forum... Oh well...too each they're own...

I agree with them .. that "how to change your tire" thread, while w/good intention, was pretty lame. sorry BBB.

Hah!
I got a kick out of that. I just wish I could join PBB, maybe in another 10 years I'll be that elite. I think it's good that they flame newbies. We have enough boards to go on, leave PBB to the pros, it gives newbs something to strive for.

Everyone has a starting place as far as vehicles are concerned. Yotatech is Toyota specific for different areas of suv and truck ownership. Pirate 4x4 is a rock crawling site specific to cutting edge tech for various 4x4s. There is nothing wrong with Pirate or Yotatech, however just like most people read up on the vehicle they purchase, realize what atmosphere you enter when surfing web sites.

lets face it guys we are all lame and suck and are noobs to 4wheeling. Your not a real 4wheeler unless you truggy your toy or tube frame it with 42inch bfgs. Your not a real wheeler if youve ever read a magazine or had some one change your oil or do some mechanical work at a shop -ever. We all suck and only the people that can take the flaiming for being a newb at Pirate are cool period. Makes you wonder if any of them where newbs. ??

People have nothing better in their lives than to bitch & moan about such trivial stuff as threads on other boards.
Someone needs to get a life over there. POR is a very good board for info on hardcore off roading, but as mentioned, everyone had to start somewhere. Every board has their own culture, and one reason Chris & I started up this board was to get away from flame fests from one brain celled idiots who had nothing better to do than talk smack on forums. I do not get the flaming there though to other members, even if it is in jest. I have always believed in treating someone the way I would want to be treated, whether it is online, or in real life. The only few times I have let someone have it on a forum (not here) was when they well deserved it for being a dickhead. But anyway, different strokes for different folks

Is this actually an 4x4 site?
The thread over there was quite amusing (such vitriol) but some of those fellows might not be all that observant; at least one poseter said people with such noob questions ought not to be on a 4X4 site....yota-tech isn't actually a 4x4 site per se, is it? It seems that we welcome 2wd truck owners as well....anyway, I gotta believe that the truly hardcore f'roader/crawler doesn't surf the web talking about his truck anyway (like us geeks) , he (probably not she) doesn't need advice, all they need is their welder and their AM radio....

We are not 4x4 off road only. We welcome any Toyota truck or SUV here whether it is 4WD or 2WD. PS... To search over there you must be a member which I am. I joined up a long time ago before YotaTech was even a glimmer in my eye. Search Yotatech, and two pages of hits come back. http://pirate4x4.com/forum/search.php?searchid=334439 |

Holy misguided know-it-all Batman, is the average IQ really that low over there?
Don't they realize that everyone has to start somewhere, and that this board caters to everyone starting at "I don't know my from a hole in the ground" to those who rebuild their own engines and more? Oh, and by the way 934RNR, in case you wander overe here, many schools are not teaching autoshop anymore because some states can no longer afford such lavish courses. Feel lucky that you had the chance, your kids may not.......... Perhaps if you and your kind were earning more and paying more taxes instead spending your time denegrating others, the state could afford to bring auto shop back into the curriculum. Idiot...... This kind of self agrandizing "look at me I'm smart" behavior makes me want to . While P4x4 is a useful board for the hardcore 4wheeler or initiated DIY'er looking for tips, their attitude is a MAJOR turn off. Hence the reason I no longer frequent that site.

Don't let what they say bother you, the more they talk about us the more they truly LUV us
![]() Actually some of the members there have ego's way too big even for me to handle, but it's the place to go for good info on hardcore wheelin. It's kinda funny that SAS keeps comming out each and every time, when it comes to n00b talk. |
