Pimp My Ride 4runner

Did anyone see this last night? They did an 05 4runner last night on Pimp My Ride! It ended up black and silver with green flames with a body kit and 20s. I was kinda hoping they were going to lift it.

I like it better when they do older rigs and make them look baaaaaaaada$$. I always see the 3rd gen up on the lift in the background at intro. Pretty cool show.

I think it was brand new - only caught the ad for the episode. I think the pimpee's car was so bad, that they scrapped it.

Jim - thanks for the quote in your sig...

Actually, the kids car was a clasic and he was going to mechanic school so they wanted to let him fix it up so they pulled in a brand new 4runner.

Was it worth watching? I usually don't make a point to catch that show.

I thought it was cool. You get to see a little of how the profesionals do stuff like body work and paint. I really like to see how they can turn a junker into something cool. It's not as exciting when they just customize a new car such as the 4runner they did last night but still worth the 30 minutes.

Miles,
You should come hang out w/ me for a couple days and see how the pro's really do bodywork.
They use a little too much bondo for my taste. I did like the baja bug less the blingin rims.
Here is a little of our handywork.
Sorry for the poor quality. This picture really doesn't do it justice.

Wow Matt, I would love to see how they do that stuff. I would like to re-spray my runner one of these days just so it has a show room finish.

I find it funny how on that show, they dump like 20 grand into an old car, but they do absolutely nothing to make the car run better. I would love to see them do a "where are they now" to see if some of those cars are still running. Personally, i'm not a fan of the waterfalls and sinks they put in the cars, but it is kinda cool to see the stereo work they do. I prefer Overhaulin. they do everything right on that show and its funny to see them trick the person who's car is gettin redone.

I have watched the show a lot and I know they fix all exlectrical problems and every once in a while they show some minor motor work such as fixing valve cover leaks and the like. I think they just do a basic tuneup to make them run a little better. They probably use oil aditives so they don't smoke durring the test trive. lol
