Neweggs been great to deal with on my past orders I just got my order in on a item I ordered last friday, well I would of had it yesterday but had to sign for it
I have used that memory in many of systems and have not had any problems so it should work well in your system. Thats stuff rated real well for the OC (over clockers)out there too. I say stick with same clock speeds unless you plan on just using 2 new 512 sticks at 4000, The difference would be access speeds if you plan on over clocking more than you are now. Some times using mismatched speeds causes problems.

I'm currently using 2 x 512MB of Corsair DDR 3600 and so far haven't had a problem. My P4-2.53 runs at 2.66 and 100% stable. I personally would highly recommend Corsair RAM, excellent stuff!

On my Dell, I have PC3200 512MB 400MHZ. Mine will run all the ram at the slowest chip speed. So if I put in a PC2700, all of my ram would run at that rate. I am not sure if yours would do the same.
Just run matching sticks and you should be fine.

I would advise sticking with memory that is on the Asus QVL.
http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/sock...DDR400_QVL.pdf Corsair is on second page.

Corey,
Getting the DDR4000 wouldn't offer any advantage, since all of the RAM would still run at the 3200's speed. Besides, you probably wouldn't notice a difference between the two anyway. |
