If Dan's can't fab up a crossmember for ya, I'm sure he can point you to someone who can take care of it for you...

Local 4-wheeler groups:
http://www.vv4w.org/
http://www.nevadattora.com/ <--- tacoma group but still toyota

I had these guys install my shocks and spacers, good work, reasonable labor:
Redline Motorpsports
4881 West Hacienda #2
Las Vegas NV 89118
(702) 898-6222

Other shops I know of that can help you, but I have no personal experience with them...

The Custom Shop
6360 S. Pecos Road #M
Las Vegas NV 89120
(702) 436-6777

Total FX Motorsports
5585 Spring Mountain Rd
Las Vegas NV 89146
(702) 368-0638

Maximum Off-Road
4755-J W. Flamingo Rd
Las Vegas, NV 89103
(702) 227-5100

As far as tires, my only dealings have been with Discount Tire. They are very competitive here and will price match anybody.

I picked up the shocks and spacers myself, set of 4 Bilstein HD shocks from eBay, and a 1" spacer from Cornfed to level my prerunner.
They charged me $130 for the install, which was simply 2 hours at $65/hr labor.

I prefer adams driveline out in henderson,
Travis owns customshop
ron owns street concepts
clint owns maximum offroad
jeff owns xtreme auto trends.

I don't recommend total F* Ups
(yes I am familiar with the owners of the shops.)

for tires I actually just got the nitto A/T about half the cost of the bfg 32's and equally comperable in every aspect I have about 500 miles on mine so far work great in rain conditions. http://discounttire.com/dtcs/findTir...tp=Truck%2FSUV
http://discounttire.com/dtcs/findTir...tp=Truck%2FSUV

I recommend you get the superlift 3' upper control arm lift or the downey one. And for the rear coils go over to skips spring service and have him make you new coils for the rear. Don't waste too much time with spacers besides your springs have already had the same load on them for the last 12 years or better and since you are going on a trip you are better off replacing them. Other recommendation is to get an aussie locker installed in the front and a limited installed in the rear. Also check into getting a milemarker winch and some extra lights. You have no idea what your going to end up travelling through so better be prepared. My last offering of security for you is installing a kill switch unless of course you want to return home on foot.
You figure if you were going to spend 800 on tires you now have some extra money to apply to traction aids and recovery equipment.

thanks for the help man.. that was informative... as for tires iv had the bfg MTs for a few weeks now.. put a lil over 1000 off road miles on em so far, there holding up a lot nicer than i would of expected in the desert condition... they are wearing a lil faster than hoped, but the desert does that to MT's, and i have also heard that for the first few thousands they wear faster.. which i sorta expected....

i already picked up the lift parts... OME 2" springs for the back, 1.5" bj spacers for the front, and OME nitro charged shocks all the way around... now just looking for a great price to get them installed.. the new controll arms are deffinetly a better choice but for the wheeling iv done with her she does great.. and i dont plan on going to much knarlier.. the lift is pretty much for ride control.. and help the tires fit better. the stock parts will hold up fyne if i havnt killed them yet... and a arms are one of the things im not replacing till i break em...

as for lights.. yeah deffinetly.. im looking into getting 4 55w.. or like 3 110w lights.. but i think for my price ill be more coste effective getting 4 55w with 4 switches (figure ill have 2 at more extreme right and left angles.. and the others as super hi beams... and i wont use so much power if i can controll them individually

the winch.. deffinetly a good idea.. deffinetly not happening soon.
im on a slim budget.. and im 1800 down so far and 5500 down from buying the truck 6 weeks ago... plus i need to get the t case checked out ("checked out" as we all know means nothign more than throw a lot of money at someone in the end)... wont shift into 4wd anymore since i did some adjustments to the shift linkage arm ball join thingy.. b4 that i ran into a bad rock and bent the t case x member into the t case and its been downhill.. (thats why i had to mess with the liunkage arm ball joint)
i picked up a 4 foot hi lift jack to help me when getting stuck instead of a winch.. its helped me a lot out here in the desert where theres not a lot to winch too anyway when flying solo (wich i do a whole lot) and was priced a lot better..

next 2 things are proberbly a custom bull bar and skid plates.. i wanna tell the fab place to keep in mind that im gonna want to add more metal to the bull bars some day like maybe a tube bumper for the front.. and i want5 to get custom rails for the roof to use instead of a roof rack.. im never gonna be putting much more than backpacks on the roof.. maybe the hi lift and a rubbermaid box.. but thats it...

i deffinetly think the lsd and locker is a good combo for what i plan on doing.. but wont have those kind of funds for awhile..

think skips springs can do the install for me? or where would you recomend to have the lift applied?max offroad and street concepts are 2 expensive i already talked with them... im looking for someplace thatll have it done in under 3 hours.. its not that hard at all i think places are dicking me around.. i need leftover money for the aligment..
