Nissan Armada

Have to say that after some problems with my 2003 4Runner I was about to bail out of the toyota world for my other favorite Rising Sun brand Nissan. The wife was pretty excited as we were about to test drive a few 2004 Armadas with all the bells and whistles. Got in it, everything is pretty but cheap looking. Driving it, everything is noisy, bumpy, rumbling and creaking. The Brakes are about the best thing in it. To be honest. It sucked. And it sucked royal. I mean nothing was that fit and finish you come to expect, it was more like say...an expedition. (not to knock home brands). Basically it was a major let down. We drove about three of them to get a good feel of them..all seemed pretty loose, and cheap. But oh.. not the price! They are obviously very proud of it at 41 thou for median range. IMHO Nissan let the blood go thin with that one..... Good news is, as soon as I got back into my 4Runner, it was like night and day. What a great vehicle. New faith here...props to Toyota for making us all spoiled.

Had to have the electrical system looked at about 10 times. Nothing more than that. The stereo(s) kept blowing, and that would in turn kill the dash lights. All fixed now, but for awhile I was about to lemon law it.

FYI, Renault (a French company) owns most of Nissan.

I sat in a Titan at the auto show and thought that the interior was cheap looking, but I always thought that their fit and finish was at least par with Toyota.

IMO, I have not found a full-size truck or full-size SUV with an interior that I like. They all seem too bulky and plain to me.

I like French Fries, I don't understand the renault thing but they are more into the design of the vehicles, doubt they are building anything for nissan yet but their are several future vehicles in the work actually from renault.

The Armada is better then the Expedition but for 40k plus the LE is not up their, their money is going into powertrain while they are forgetting the exterior fit and finish, all the car mags loved it, maybe the QX56 picks up where the Armada left off.

Nissan is about as French as the Pontiac Vibe is American

Consumer Reports says the same thing about the Armada. Too much cheap looking interior items and lots of creaking interior noises.
