It's the industry standard program for photo editing.
It's not THAT much different from CS1, but does have a few cool new features. It's definitely much more than Adobe Photoshop Elements. Any graphic/web designer and the like will have it, plus it's pretty popular with just the younger, internet-savvy crowd too (since you can download it free albeit illegally).
