first make sure there are no restrictions on these, if its a state park I am not sure about camping but I know in NF its OK unless stated "day use" only. Most of the lakes are stocked well but I would bring a "back" up dinner in case something doesn't happen. Otherwise its like camping and fishing at most other places.I haven't been to that particular lake but I have been wheeling/camping around the state so I am familiar with some of the area. Oh make sure you get "temp" license. [

Thanks for the reply! I looked up the fire restrictions and there are none so far. I'm hauling a camp stove and some beef just in case. I've had my license every year we've been here even though I haven't used it, support the state and all that.
I'll post up some pictures and maybe a report when I get back. Thanks again.

The San Juan river just west of Navajo Lake is supposed to be pretty kick ass for fly fishing. I'm not a fisher myself but I've heard plenty about it.

Thanks! I actually tried fly fishing a couple of times but couldn't get the hang of it. After I snapped off a dozen flies and stuck a hook in the back of my ear I decided fly fishing wasn't for me.
