My Off-road machine
A honda h3011SA, riding lawnmower, just put on carlisle snow-hogs on it.
Here it is back before my idiot neighbor ruined the deck: ![]() Here it is before snow-hogs, in the snow ![]() Unfortunately, I never got pictures with the new tires. Just today I had kind of a serious wreck, it fish-tailed into a tree. Damage is a dent, flat tire, and bent tie-rod. Hope to have pictures soon and damage repaired ASAP.

I got a Craftsman with the 12.5 I/C(Industrial/Commercial) motor, and 6 speed manual transaxle with reverse. It was just great, except the brakes never worked, and it popped out of gear, and got up to about 35MPH on me steep driveway, and a friend of mine rolled it. I'm gonna get it going again tho. It's a fun little beater.
Also, a hint for more power, tie a string to the governor, and pull it. Don't give er hell, just do it for more power going up hills and stuff. As for the tie rods, mine is set up with front engine, rear wheel drive. The tie rod ends seem to be attatched to the wheel. It has a J looking axle thing on the driver's side, and an L looking thing on the other. Mine is bent also.

well the tie rod is proving to be a real girl dog (nice censorship he he). Anyway, it looks like i've gotta pull the whole front end off to fix it. Look soon for more pics as soon as I clear some space in my shop to work on it.
Basically what the problem is is that the ends are seized onto the wheel bearing holder, so I can't take it off there, and its bent so I can't just unscrew it. The next logical step is to remove the front end completely. On the bright side Les Schwab fixed the tire free.

Hmmm... sounds like you need to check out a place that rents those to see if they got any spare parts available. Its not worth it at all to buy anything for a riding mower from the dealer.

I have one of those mowers, a 3009 model. I ran my little lawn business with it in highschool and used it into the ground. Then I went to work for Honda and put a 13 HP motor on it. Now it's a hot rod

Nice. My Craftsman has 9 inch wide back tires, which work great for "rock crawling". Too bad they are turf savers...
I also did a 1 inch body lift to mine, which involved drilling new holes on the frame so I could bolt the upper part on a little higher than stock. If I tie a string to the governor, and pop the clutch and lean forward, I can chirp a tire on dry pavement. If I lean back, I do a wheelie. It also has a custom paint job. I'll see if I can get some pics sometime. It's still recovering from Memorial Day weekend, when a friend of mine rolled it. ![]()
