Moving Trailer CO -> WA

Ok I'm going to try and buy the trailer from Dirtco if he'll hold onto it until January-ish.

If it all works out I'll need help getting the trailer from CO-WA the cheapest way possible.

$150 hidden hitch and wiring on my wife's 2010 kia ? She'd kill me unless I paid the dealership to do it.

If I can organize some mass transit nomadic type swap off with you guys that would rock.

I'm calling upon all Yota'ers from Co - WA.

With our powers combined ..........

Point being, if you can move the trailer 10 miles or 500 miles for free or just gas money, then I'm interested to hear from you !

I'm trying to help Dirtco out and also enjoy his awesome trailer myself.

You can even use the trailer yourself while it's in your possession ! Just don't scratch it or wreck it please

I'll insure the trailer full coverage the minute it leaves his property though, so no worries there.

Let me know if you can help around January-ish on this migration.

Post up in here also, this is a huge collaboration

Thanks guys

-Daniel

I'll keep it solely on Yotatech for awhile. The way to create this 'trip' is with multiple people working together.

They not only need to communicate with me, but eachother.

I don't want this trailer getting lost because they dropped it off to the wrong person.

If someone can move it half way I'll come get it myself somehow. Buy a bicycle with a hitch ?

Lemme think. So to go from CO - Dirtco is in Silverthorn/Dillon right - to WA I would assume get to I-80 somehow. A buddy from Cottora is in RockSprings WYoming (I-80) That is 5 hours from denver. He is actually coming through here November 4th but is busy till I dunno the 15thish? Then he'll have to drive back to rock springs. So if the trailer can get to denver he might be willing to take it back to Rock Springs. (He has an 05 ext cab) How big/heavy is this trailer. I think part of the issue is that anyone with a lift will need a ball lowering reciver. We have one that can be used (but will need to be sent back to us) Also anyone who help has to have the plug in for lights/trailer. I would offer to help but A trailer that can haul a car size really can't be pulled by ron (3.slow 2nd gen). Too much stress on that engine for my taste.

Yah here is the build thread. Dirtco cleaned it up and raised it. No lowering ball needed

I think there are 2 different routes. Either up through Wyo or through Cali.

If it gets up to Oregon I can pick it up myself unless Al just wants to visit. Haha..

Damn, dirtco towed that with a 22? Or does he have a 3.4 in that thing? I can't remember.

Impressive. It must be pretty light.

It's a very simple trailer, no sink or toilet or stove or heater that I know of.

My old tent trailer had all those and weighed 800 pounds I believe.

He has a 22RET / auto

I'll pay gas, but I dont see you getting very far with your diesel.....

Would you prefer 'fuel' ? Sorry - our family owns a trucking company (would cost me $2200 to re-route one of our flatbeds to Co, I already considered it) and I'm used to it being called 'Fuel'

I would imagine a 22r would pull that with ease.

I have pulled about 4k lbs behind my stock 84 22r. It was slow but i held the speed limit everywhere

Lol take it easy i'm a new diesel owner.

Yes i would prefer diesel fuel seeing as i dont have a running gas motor at the time.

Based on lysmachia's post i got the idea it was an enclosed car trailer

Save this Image and ADD YOUR PROPOSED ROUTE IN YOUR OWN COLOR OR CLEARLY MARKED. So we can figure out who can do what. Thanks guys.

I removed alot of major cities, because not many of us live in them but near. So paste your city and your route.

My free time is valuable and rare though. So if you're willing, draw your little route out on the map and re-post it. 2 weeks or more before the first person picks up I'll notify everybody and let you know if you're needed or not.

So a good chance you might be needed

If it comes across I-90 I could pick it up in the Mosses Lake area and take it the rest of the way for you for a little bit of gas money. Or if it were to come through I-84 I could probably talk the wife into going down to Pendleton OR hitting the casino then bringing it up to Ellensburg then maybe a week or two latter talking it the rest of the way.
