I'm thinking about driving down to go look at a truck in Dallas Tx, which is about 6 hours from here. I'm curious if there is anyone in the area who knows 3rd gen 4runners who could maybe swing by the lot and take a gander at it for me to let me know if its even worth driving down that far. Its a 97 Limited 4WD with 166K on it.

According to carfax it hasnt been wrecked, but its missing a flare piece and has no antenna which leads me to believe it may have had some body work (fender replaced), and it looks like it might need a little work (couple little dents), but I think the price might be right on it. Is there anyone who can help?

Brian, Looking for a 3rd gen DD under 6,200. Would prefer a V6 with leather, but may consider soemthing else. what kind of mileage do you get and was yours cloth or leather?

yeah, mines cloth and the 4cyl. It usually gets around 17 city, had a couple of tanks calculate out to 23 when driving back eastm but 17 city 21hwy is more typical. With the 5spd I tend to wind it up more than i should. That's with the 32"+ tires and no regear, so the speedo and odometer are 10% low (but accounted for in my mpg numbers). The odometer says 93k on it, but it's probably closer to 95, haven't put that many miles on it since getting the revos.
