I almost had a cow today while trying to get my safety check done. So I removed my clear corners and put back on the stock ones because I went to go get my safety check done this morning, we go there and it took them an hour to look at the thing and then tell me it didn't pass because my tint is too dark in the back(i don't even think they light metered it I think they just looked at it and went oh it's too dark). According to the tint shop if you had a van, SUV, or mini van ( i think trucks too), and as long as you have both mirrors then you can make the back as dark as you want it to, I went to the stealer because I had the free coupon thingy. So I called my tint shop and one of them said I could probably get it done at the Lex Brodie down by them so we went there next, they said that my front tint was two percent less than what it's supposed to be ONLY TWO PERCENT! that and I couldn't have the dragon sticker I have on the back, which I don't understand because if I can have tint as dark as I want then why the hell should a sticker make a difference! Anyways I finally got it done somewhere where the guys doesn't care about the sticker, finally went home and removed my stock corners and put back on my clear corners, what a long a$$ day!!!!!!!!!!!

Would you believe we don't even have a mandatory inspection in Fla. You should see the junkers on the road. The only other state as strict as you is probably PA. But they don't have the pollution regs. There you can't even hang stuff off your rear view mirror, if you wanted to. It's a distraction. Big whoop

Actually we are kinda getting into the emissions thing. But yeah, that does sound like a bad day. I am sorry to hear that. Our inspections are really tough. Things that they look at are insane! Glad to hear that you didn't have to get out the razor and scrape! :fireman:

You had a bad day, try replacing the front end of a 72 Galaxie with the 30 old suspension and factory rivented ball joints!!!!!!!! Sorry about the tint. I have 5% on my truck's back window and side windows I love living in Arivaca AZ no inspection or emissions.
