Landcruiser Info?? What Model??

Ok, here's the story, we were doing a addition, and a deck for a guy from Bedminster, extremely wealthy. We were working there, a few years ago before I got into Toyotas, and he asked us to drive him to pick up a truck he had delivered. It was in a yard in Long Island because it was shipped here. It was a 99 Toyota Landcruiser with a Level 3 Armor kit. Run flats and everything. 10 passenger capacity. This was right after September 11th, and we were just finishing the inside of his addition. Many of the wealthier people here kind of got into buying armored cars and such in fear of another attack. The guy has since sold this and put money down an an SL guard I am told. This is the most awesome landcruiser I have ever seen. I have never seen one at a dealer with cloth seats or a stick, and have never seen this particular model on the road. Was wondering if anyone could give me some info on it. Was it grey market, special model, factory armored, etc????? The link to the photos he sent me is: here
These are the pics from the original shipping location, not the yard we got it from in Long Island, there was no snow that day. I don't know the guy anymore, but I wish I had asked him more questions about it. I just think its a completely SICK truck, and wish I could find one somewhere without the armoring, I would definately pick it up. Thanks, Jason

nice, i've always had a thing for armored vehicles, fortunately no actual need for one.

hmmm, I was thinking that, it must be a grey market import, I guess there is no easy way to get one here, usually most imports are right hand drive. I have never seen a landcruiser with that body style for sale without leather, and I was thinking that a dealership probably wouldnt be able to get one. I like it a lot though.

I figured it wasn't a US model, which sucks cause I never have a shot at getting one, I bet its about half the price of all these luxury landcruisers too. (without the armor)

Yeah looks like a foreign market 100 series. Has the rear fog light and ambulance doors, both of which are fairly rare.
