Just wow.

Maybe a repost and maybe the wrong section to post this but...

http://www.netcarshow.com/toyota/200...llpaper_03.htm

Absolutely the ugliest thing I've ever seen,. Completely, 100% entirely FUGLY.

What is Toyota thinking?

IMO it looks a lot like the new Tundra
Toyota should be ashamed at what they have done!

i feel like this is happening to all the newer cars. the new cars these days are freaking ugly, starting from the new honda civics, and then going to the newest mecedes benz. they are all getting ugly.

seems like on these new cars the windows are being put up more. like on the chrysler 300, the windows are wayy too high, you cant even put your arm out the window. i dotn like that....

but hey, these are just concept cars right? i hope.

THEY NEED TO REMAKE CARS LIKE THEY REMAKE MOVIES.
take the same body of an older 4runner, improve it with nicer equipment/engine stuff... it would sell big time!

go with what was successful in the past. 4runners run FOREVER. the newer runners are more suv then just bare truck... makes me sad.

I saw that concept in person a few years back at a car show here in Denver. It's just a fugly in person. They also had a sign on it claiming 50MPG for that truck....and it could still tow 6000 lbs. or some such. I was a bit weary of those claims.

Looks like a big blue bull dog, just ugly enough to like and hate at the same time.

I could see this as being a good "street" truck, but whats that stuff hanging down, in front of the rear axle ?

That is a Toyota concept vehicle called the FTX. It was built in 2004. The tundra took some styling cues from it, but like all concept vehicles, its just that. A concept, not a reality. Anymore, concept vehicles are just used for publicity and nothing that resembles them will see the road.

Toyota's marketing slogan for the FTX/new Tundra was "Power of the Fist!" Kinda dumb, but whatever. I like the new Tundras, though. Not as good as the pre-tacos, but nothing really is.

I like it for the most part. I'd buy one. Clean, aggressive lines. The side mirrors look clunky, but other than that, I think it's a cool design. Much better than the Avalanche or Ridgeline that are already out there.
