Got this in my email today. I already got my $600 though May the 9th deposited directly to my bank account. Looks like a scam to me, look at the 2nd link from the bottom of this URL. They want you to enter your credit card into and SS number. haha i was going to say, big ol scam.

The IRS sends you the info in the mail, not via email. Even if you are getting direct deposit like my lady, they send you info in the mail as to when you should expect it, and how much.

I just got my notice in the mail, and should see my check before the 30th.

I bet some will fall victim to it.
The first text in the quote I did above that shows up in the email looks almost convincing.
Once I clicked the URL though and saw all the info they wanted, you can tell right away.

I am surprised the site has not been shut down.

And just how did they get my email?
From here of course perhaps.
My YotaTech mail is around a few places listed here.
And in the email to me, it does not show what email addy they sent it to.
It shows "Undisclosed" list or something like that.

big scam, I tried the link just for the fun of it and the filters here at work shut down the window. My check was direct deposited in early May. I got the IRS letter a week or two ahead of the DD.

they need to sacrifice a few scammers to a volcano and than maybe they will go away...

I have done it before in the past.
I bet that ticks them off when they find out the info was false.
