ipod and ipod mini owners: look here!!

i have come across the greatest little accessory ever for listening to your ipod in the car

its the sakar international iconcepts 3-in-1 car kit

http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...539&pfp=BROWSE

its 50 bucks, and basically its a combo charger and fm transmitter. whats so cool about that you ask?

well theres no software to install, etc. you literally plug it into your cig adaper, plug the cord into the ipod and tune to 1 of 4 stations (it has a selector on the side to choose the station) and it WORKS really well.

why is this better than itrip?

A) it charges your ipod
B) any ipod at any time can plug into it

the stations it uses (if i remember right) are 88.3, 88.5, 88.7 and 88.9 which at least here in boston are pretty much all blank.

little disclaimer though.. it doesnt work with the nano. its so sweet!

For my Alpine deck, i just got a kca-121b cable from best buy ($25) it hooks into the ai-net port on the back of the deck, then i got a y-cable and plug it directly into my iPOD, sounds WAY better than through an RF unit, Then there is this cable- Clicky it basically turns my setup into one cable, but the end result will be the same.

You then just enable the Aux source on your Alpine deck and play your iPod. Of course you still have to control the iPod from it's own controls which means you need to mount it somewhere convenient. I just ran the cable under the center console, and out between the seats... sure i've got a cable hanging out, but it's cheap and it works great. The volume will be slightly lower from your iPod than a cd. If you have sampled your songs at something more than 128kbs you should be ok. You pretty much turn the iPod volume all the way up then you use the deck volume as normal.

The only downside is that it uses your IPOD battery

I have one of those cassettes, with a cord attached .. you play the cassette, and plug the cord into your Ipod ... and your done. It cost like $9, and the sound quality is pretty good.

i dont have a tape deck or an alpine hu that has the ai-net stuff...

this is for the people who want a good, firm mount that will keep it charged and give really good reception without complicated software

my setup, works for any Alpine deck with V-link, so any deck with that can have a direct feed, iPOD compatible or not, it'll work...

I have the cable from Monster that pkugs into the bottom port, and into the Cig lighter. Then, to make it clean, I have a Nyko cradle attached to the dash, where it is in reach.
