XP?
Start button, Program, Admin Tools, then Services.
Click the Extended tab.
Scroll down for Error Reporting Services.
You can diable it right there.

In fact you can see all the running programs that hog memory in there.
I tured a lot of them off.

Pick up the November issue of Maximum PC magazine, as it has a very extensive article on this on how to gain back horsepower with XP.

That issue is sitting my desk right now...just read the heading "Trim the fat from winxp!"

A guy here at work gets them by accident and he gives them to me. Its an ok mag. If you wanna get into gaming/modding/and general computing there are much better mags.

Not sure how long maxpc has been around.

Read the home entertainment setup, that will blow you away.
That is the way of the future for a home entertainment system.

Doink, the Admin Tools are on my Start button, and Control Panel.
XP set mine up that way for some reason.

Did you go in and fix it?

With your I.E open go to "Tools", then "Internet Options", then "Advanced". Check the box that says "Disable Script Debugging" & "Display a Notification of Every Script Error"
That should take care of it.

Should work fine for you. We use that setting for all of our users here and haven't had any access complaints. I went to cokemusic.com and was able to see it okay.

If you can't get to a certain website from work/school/public place, it's probably because that site is blocked from access. Most places, ours included, don't allow access to certain sites due to content & security issues.
