I don't like Volvo's much, with the exception of the S60R's. Turbo power is where it's at...I am glad to see more companies offering factory turbocharged engines for MY2006.

the S60R is a sweet car..They are really cool inside and out and put out some nice power. inline 5 is kind of weird but who cares.
Volvos have NO resale value at all. I dont know much about reliability with them either. My dad had an 850 turbo a few years ago. we only had the car for two months but it seemed like a good car though.

I don't know about this particular model. But, many Volvos have a tendency to burst into flames during a side-impact collision.
Just something to think about.

We've had many Volvos in our family over the years, and have had excellent experiences with all of them. I drove one in college, and I'm driving one, again, since my Dad gave me the old '83 GLT wagon. He took to driving the '01 Cross Country, after my Mom passed away. Because of the milage on the '83, there was no way that he was going to get anything for it, so he gave it to me as a back up vehicle. There is now 335,000 miles on it, and it stills goes up to the tunnel (Eisenhower) with the best of them. It burns some oil, but should be good to about 400,000 before I have to do anything major to it!
I would have probably gotten a Volvo when I bought my BMW, if they had offered manuals with their turbo models in the early '90s. |

Their older cars were bullet proof, but wonder how their quality is now with Ford in charge?
I do like the S60R's, though. There was one that raced in an Auto-x event and actually did pretty well. I was actually thinking about picking up an S40 AWD for daily driver duties.

That S60R had the Attacama leather interior, it's hot.
