Smile I'll Buy Lunch. (Ft. Collins)

I'm planning a trip to Ft. Collins in a couple of weeks, and I was wondering if any of you from Colorado would like to get together for lunch and maybe show me some of the sites and trails in the area. I would like to keep 'em easy to moderate. I don't want to break anything.

I'm planning on spending the weekend down there to do some shopping & just to get out of here for a while.

Depending on the response to this thread, I will determine if I take my taco (for the trails)or my fiance's mountaineer (mall cruiser).

I'd be up for a trail run if there's not a lot of snow.

If we get any more people going, we might get stuck ordering from the dollar menu at Micky D's.

We don't have to stay in Larimer County. I will be spending the night in a hotel, it doesn't matter where.

Nice touch with the kids. It is spring with the ground thawing, I'd say there'd be alot of trails closed to drivers right now.

Hey Red,
My fiance will be with me, I think we'd all be better off with us staying at the hotel(hint,hint.). But thanks anyways.

I'm thinking it will be the first weekend in march. My fiance's last day at her current job is feb. 28. She has to work saturdays until then.

Sounds great! I think that a hotel would be a good thing, just behave yourselves. JK.

I am in Fort Fun, but the wheeling rig is now a pavement queen.

Drop me a note when you are in the hood and we can drink beer.

Hey Fly,
What happened to the rig?
Did you turn it back to stock?
Or are you getting tired of breaking stuff?

I'm bouncing around The Fort and I'd be down for getting together (no worries about buying me anything though). I've been wanting to get out and meet some of the other CO people, but alas I work all day Saturdays and Sundays. Maybe just go out for a beer or two in the evening . Mmmm beer. Anyways, keep us up to date and I'll see if I can make it.

I finally have a job, so I too can fund my beer and chow.

My truck breaks things. I am keeping it off the trail until it has things that it cannot break. It is the sweetest pavement pounder ever!

Glad to hear that Adrian. When do you think the truck transformation will begin?

I just found out what my pay is, so the transformation is on hold until I can get another job that pays somewhere around decent. It is a city job, which I thought meant decent hours and decent pay. They pulled a bait and switch, so I am looking for greener pastures.

I'll move this over to the Trip Planning section later (next week) to get are more definitive list on who is going.
Also, if there aren't any trails open, we can still get together for a meet and greet.

Hey if we do a meet and greet we could BBQ at my house, instead of or after the run.
