How to download music files?

Since i just got a cable modem, I want to start downloading music files. Whats some places to go to and ways to do this? I used napster a few times back when, but I dont have a clue now. Also, I have heard that some things, like Kazza for instance, will load software in the background. I just want to get the music when I want it, but I am leary about letting people have their way with my computer and pulling files from me. How do you set these things up where people cant do that and where I dont end up with software being put or manipulated on my machine without my knowledge? Thanks.

Oh don't listen to him Willemon

Actually I use a program called www.kazaalite.com and that has no spyware on it so download that and you should be okay.

If you really wanna check, download a program called Ad-aware, which will take off any spyware you have on your computer. Download it off this site
