I need a system like that. Everytime I get a new engine or suspension noise I can just turn up the radio to "fix" it. When stuff gets too bad, the runner will blow up and burn and I get to start all over again.

A vehicle is the worst possible place to setup a high end player. I am appauled in the poor workman ship on the uphostery. Further, I am also appauled at the sub woofer encasement blocking the back of the 4runner.
I would be embarrsed to drive it. Odds are so much 'bling bling' involved with the sound system that engine / drive train maintenance is poor. Another sorry @ss statement about cars and their owners. |

you'd be surprised at the stuff i saw during the late 80s and early 90's.
the thing was, competing in stereo contest, the way they group them was how much watts you had going through. a category was 0-50 watts. this was popular due to the periods of "cheater amps" by companies like rockford fosgate, precision power, etc. these amps can run low OHMs and put out close to 200 watts. all the rule books say is whatever the power the amps put out at 4 ohms is what they are rated. so multiple speakers per door would drop the load the amp was seein to like 1ohm and you'd see amps rated to 1/2 ohm! so you'd see 2 pairs of tweets, 2 pairs of mids and 2 pairs of woofers in the doors. plus 2-4 subwoofers in the rear. all powered by ONE amp... then they design these weird and complex passive crossover networks to work it... ahhh... the good ol' days...

I dont get what the fire hazard is though. I know guys with 4 speakers in each front door, 4 speakers in each kick panel, 4 speakers on the rear deck, and 2 subs, and they dont have any issues.
