Got Patrol?

I stopped by ARB after work today to return the Exhaust Jack I have been evaluating for the past few weeks for a write-up.

Lotta action going on there.
Seth one of the employees had his nice green Jeep there with a tent on top of it, and they were setting it up.
Sorry, no pics of it, I did not have my camera with me.

What caught my eye though was a black rig on the sloped driveway you go up to drive into their shop.
From a distance it looked Landroverish, but the Nissan on the grille gave it away.
I knew right away what it was, it was a Nissan Patrol, also know as a Safari Granroad.

Diesel engine, dual batteries, solid front axle, right hand steering, this rig was very rad.
It may be one of the first real ones I have ever seen.
I have seen many of them before on the web.

I snagged a few pics of it with ARB's digital camera, and tech Kris snapped off a few for me too.
The rig belongs to Outback Imports.

Here are a few pictures of the rig.

Very cool. I never understood why Nissan never imported the Patrol over here.

Probably the same reason the Prado and other solid axle Toyotas never make it here.

I wish I had more time there, but I had to run.
I would have snagged some pics of Seth's Jeep with the green tent setup all the way on it.

I believe the tent is the same one that trdparts4u is selling.
Adjustable length ladder too.

It was such a weird feeling sitting in the Nissan with the wheel on the right and the shifter to my left.

Being a lefty helps too. Some folks out there can't do anything with their non-dominant hand.

Looks like what the late Crocodile Hunter used to have on some of his shows. They carried a boat on the roof of it and it was white in color.
