Forum Suggestion...Refresh and New Posts

Before you say...ugg not another personal problem with the forum. This is just a SUGGESTION and is NOT important. It's totally a conveince thing...and we all know Corey is all about the "New Posts" button, so I thought he probably noticed the following too.

I dont know about you guys, but Im all about using the keyboard and as little mouse as possible. On the old style forum, after clicking "new posts" and getting the results page...you could just hit F5 to refresh the results. I used to leave the page up all day and just hit F5 every now and then. Obviously this isnt possible anymore since the new search utility keeps track of searches and assigns them "searchid" numbers. So you when you hit F5, it returns the same results that you previously got.

I dont know what kind of controls VB has with search features...but if you could turn off search tracking or whatever, I would be much obliged (is that the right expression?)

Thanks!

Just an example...when I hit New Posts multiple times:

1. http://www.yotatech.com/search.php?searchid=12874
2. http://www.yotatech.com/search.php?searchid=12881
3. http://www.yotatech.com/search.php?searchid=12897

There is no setting for this.
I just tried it, and it looks like you are right, it just shows me the same list.

I even posted in the Testing forum, then came back to another window I had open, hit F5, and it did not even show in the list.

I don't think there is a work around for this, but I can ask sometime over at the VB help site.
They are starting to get to know me quite well over there

Haha...yeah I feel the same way over at phpBB at times. My forum (Just "off topic") only has 180 members though...much less to please Like I tried to say above, this isnt a big deal. If there was a switch that could have been flipped...would have been nice.
