fell asleep in the 4runner last night

i get off of work at 1am and i have just a small drive home. well when i got there it started raining kinda hard. so i looked into the back. i already wanted to know how much room there was for me if i need to sleep in it. so i crawl in the back. only to wake up three hours later.. holy crap didnt think i would pass out for that long. but i think it will do the trick.

Talk about dedication...sleeping in the back of your 4Runner to keep it warm, while a nice warm bed is only a few steps inside!!

I have almost never had my back seats folded down and keep my sleeping bag, a blanket, pillow and a camp chair back there all the time (along with tools and stuff). Most people I know have commented on my bed . It really is quite comfortable back there.

I already keep two blankets in mine. One for when the dog rides back there and one during the summer when the top is off in case the kids get cold.

LOL

Back when I was in school...not too long ago... I would sleep in my truck about 5 days out of the week.
I'd get done with homework anywhere from midnight to 2 AM, then drive the 19 miles home. Sometimes I made it awake all the way, sometimes I'd snooze on the way home accidentally.

Occasionally I would sleep there all night, sometimes I would wake up in a couple hours, stumble in, and sleep in bed. It depended a great deal on how cold it was.

One night, about 3 weeks after I had started dating a girl who is now my fiancée, forgot to call her when I got home to tell her I'd made it ok. I fell asleep in the truck and didn't wake up until about 7 the next morning (my regular waking time, which left an hour to get cleaned up again and go back to school).

My phone had like 12 voice mails of Jennifer in various states of disarray: from worrying about me, to thinking I was PO'd at her, to seriously crying because I must have really HATED her....

Turns out she had driven out towards my house 3 different times and had even gotten her roommate to go with her.... she got confused on the way out and turned around about a mile from my house.

In the end, the roommate hated my guts, Jennifer and I are now engaged, and I had to talk to her on the way home instead of calling when I got there. But those front seats really are comfortable!
