If someone picks it up cheap enough,.....You could give the supension a reversal.throw some good 4x4 wheels & tyres on & have a pretty decent truck.

I think the guy wanted a hot rod but looked in his driveway and saw his fj-40 and got some ideas. To me this makes me angry that someone would do something like that to a truck that i dream about owning someday.

You Americans seem to have a bizare desire for old Kiwi farm hacks,
7 out of 10 farms here have one of these rusting away in the back paddock somewhere.
Many are still used daily but there not seen in the same light as you see them.there happy to use it untill it stops,but they wont bother fixing it if it does.

Yes but you guys get much better cars in Austraila and seem to get more of these desired vehicles than the USA does. For example you guys got the ST205 (94+ Celica All Trac's) imported, we didn't get any of them.

We just have old Fords, Dodges and Chevy's rusting away in old barns.

I guess it goes both ways ,down here we a quite keen to have an old chev,or dodge pick up in our collection.but they are overpriced down here due to lack of availibilty.
