Compared to Nintendo DS and other toys it isn't as bad as you think. They can upgrade them if they want to and build them just like my real rockcrawlers. Give them something to do when they are at the shop since I have a gravel parking lot and a lot of field to crawl them in.

Get like 3 extra batteries so they can play non stop. I always hated when my batteries would die then i would have to wait 3 hours for it to charge.

Wow, I wish my actual truck looked like one of those. Sweet toys man, and way better for you kids brains than Video games any day of the week, IMO.

good stuff.
i remember when these things were just starting to come out, and people were using Jato's as rock-crawlers because of the 4" travel the Independent suspension got, lol.

3 hours?!?! They have chargers with different settings, a base one is usually a slow charge (your 3+ hours) and a quick charge (about 15 minutes)

Definitely post pics of that!

I've had my fair share of r/c's. Started with a Traxxas Stampede when they first came out, then went to a CEN 4WD Honda Accord, then Team Losi Mini-T's (spent about $400 in upgrading parts to aluminum and lights and other stuff, then sold the things for about $175 ), then had the newer Stampede with the electronic esc and quicker engine, then spent a ton of money on a "custom rockcrawler" that ended up needing a bunch of assembly that made no sense at all so we took it to the hobby store and they couldn't figure it out so we sold it, and now I just bought the Traxxas Slash! Yay 30+ miles per hour and fully waterproof!

Those Axials have TONS of upgrade options and aftermarket support. Kinda like Toyota's

Dang Wabbit... going to get them started on an expensive habit early. Just wait until they become teens then they will want the full sized version. Maybe an early encouragement to run the family business?

They can upgrade these on their allowance they WORK for doing stuff at the house and shop. I already have both of them an 85 ext cab to build when they get older for trail riding. On road will be 2wds so I can survive paying insurance.for two male teenagers. They are 14 months apart.

They arrive today!

You know you drive a toyota when.....
1.) Hi 4 is basically useless
2.) Reverse takes a few trys to get in
3.) You call your sohc 22re with cam and headers hi performance
4.) You stare at every toyota...weather it be lifted, stock, or rustbucket
5.) You are the designated vehicle in the group to pull people out but never have been stuck yourself

only problem is your gonna get hooooooked too lol need some wabfab stickers on em!

Where can you find the best deals on these? The local hobby shop deals in cars and trucks, but they want waaayyyy to much for these things. Everything here in ridgecrest is completely overpriced.
