Cleaning under cargo Coleman roof rack

OK I would like to no how you all clean your rig under your cargo rack. very tight under there for cleaning as well as drying your rig off. How do you all do it?

just hose it off and let it air dry

Your rack about 6" or so off the roof? If so you could use one of the long handle brushes, like people use for RV's. No Idea on drying

first off take off the ribs that aren't needed under the rack-the things that slide along the track. That makes it a lot easier to clean the roof-with or without the rack in place. I saw that posted years ago on a 2nd gen forum and rarely keep all the extra ribs up there on the roof. Most of us rarely use the rack as it is....

I have a lift coming along shortly-I won't be able to fit in the garage with the Coleman rack mounted atop the cross supports. I would like to mount it closer to the roof itself-any suggestions?

Just looking at it I come to the conclusion/opinion we could just drill into the frame of the rack and buy some type of threaded fastener to mount into the roof rails?

Anyone else seen something similar? I don't want to be just drilling it up to experiment just yet....
