Figured this might be an ok place to post:

A few buddies and I will be going for a wheeling trip around Quesnel, BC, in early August. Msg me and I'll try to fill in the blanks. We've only started planning it though, so we've a long way to go...

Sorry guys, at the moment I'm reppin' the Cape.
Come Monday night I'll be at Lester B. Pearson, then early on Tuesday I should be back in Edmonton.
I should note that this country is HUGE, and I only went from Alberta to NS.

Also, I don't believe there's many people in Edmonton from Edmonton, although the select few that you do find that are from the city are USELESS, or arrogant.

I should mention that I no longer have my 4Runner, as I traded it in in February (I miss that thing so much), but I will soon sell the car I traded it in on, and get back to my roots.

Ere, ere well said. Seems like to live in Edmonton you have to piss your money away on a jacked up Dodge or Ford diesel and drive like a knob. Maybe if these guys in Edmonton pricks were bigger they'd be nicer people.

The born and bred Edmontonians are still waiting for MacT to bring back Kurri, Messier, Tikkanen and Gretsky for a run at the cup.

nope, PG. we've just got a line on a little offroad goodness there, and having a house with a shop with too many tools (like such a thing exists) means if something goes wrong, at least we might be able to limp home

Edmontonian for 10 years and consider this my home. x2 for the a$$holes who can't figure out how to drive. On the road is the only time my Heart races (and I work in an Emergency Room). 4" lift and 33's going on the Runner in the next month. Looking for some crawlers in Edmonton to have some offroad fun this summer. Cheers.

Edmonton is a better city then Toronto.

I hated that place more then any other city I've ever been to.
And I've driven through Montreal and Quebec city.

I would make a joke about planning my flights to avoid Toronto, but my flight today has service to Toronto, so it's kinda unavoidable.

Now I don't live in TO and I don't like it but it's really not all that bad. I do work in the down town core and the GF lives up town.

Down town TO sucks, it's dirty and nasty and all that crap.
Up town TO is pretty cool. Has it's really nice areas and is overall much nicer then down town.

I drove to Kamloops this weekend to spend time with the family...I have always argued with my family about how bad BC vs AB drivers can be. Well, I am sad to say that the majority of the idiots I encountered to and from Kamloops, were vehicles with Alberta plates...and I would be willing to bet, most of those from Calgary. It's a sad day.

Oh believe me, I know how bad BC drivers can be...I grew up on Van Isle and go there every few months thru Vancouver. In the last 5 years, I have seen a marked worsening in the driving skills of Calgarians....not sure we're are as bad as Edmontonians yet , but we're getting close.

As a side note, gas was $1.11/litre in Golden on Sunday! Can you say GOUGE!

I would love to go back to BC (Bring Cash) and live the dream...unfortunately, little work and less pay for almost as high, or higher cost of living (depending on where you live). Not a lot of O&G jobs available in BC. But, I do love Alberta too...always happy to be back...although it is getting tougher to find empty space and nature.

I dunno Anthony there are some nasty places in hazelville too ya know...
sure some areas downtown are a little crusty but there are some real gems down there too... and everybody from miss. comes to party in the "entertainment district"...
and FWIW there are some rough places uptown too...

Lets just say every town has its +s and -s but it pretty much evens out in the end...
