All is well.
I think between my complaining to his ISP and others, they shut him down. I was getting about 20 of them every hour from his PC, but they have stopped since mid day. That tells me they took his connection down, or he found out he had the virus and fixed it. I only got about 500 or so emails from him over the past two days, and around 10 got through with the live virus, but Mcafee killed them. Keep them thar DAT files up todate people

UPDATE
Getting real viruses coming through now of the Sobig virus.
Just got 5 in the last few minutes as I compose this, and they are all the same IP from Texas. http://www.pnw4runners.com/temp/maptable-656617329.jpg The user is on DSL. Gosh it bugs me when people don't practice safe surfing and use protection on their PCs. Download a free trial of a virus scanner, and clear your machines!!! You can go to www.mcafee.com and get a stand alone program called Stinger that will scan and clear your PC of this latest Sobig virus. http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/defau...r&hcName=sobig http://download.nai.com/products/mca...rt/stinger.exe |

Not me.
I've been sent a lot of viruses lately. Norton seems to catch them all.

I checked my IP address when I saw your post this morning. Nope. Although I doubted it was me. My computer runs like a Toyota...
It's a Mac.

He he, out at my Xs home, my son has his nice 1.8 P4, and a few laptop windows machines, and the X has a few old Macs, and that new one that came out a few years ago with the processor and monitor together in one space age looking unit.
iMac, that's what it is. I tried it a few times, but since I was started out on Windows 3.1 and graudated to 95, then 98, I find Windows easier for me. Now I'll have to learn XP when I get the new machine. |

At work we have primarily PC's. They got some iMacs in the library loft last year and the techies didn't know how to work with them. So they loaded OS 9 on them, locked up the hard drives, and used them for just surfing the web. What a waste.
I got our tech lady to order a 512 stick of RAM for each, loaded OSX on them and had my kids building web pages and processing video. They're just a tool. Some folks like Craftsman, some Snap-On. If your tool is working for you...it's a good tool. It's when it's not working for you that's when you begin looking around. And I agree, learning a new system ain't easy. In the past 5 years I've had to learn & use Windows 95 and 98 and Mac OS 8, 9, and X. But that's why we have brains...to learn and adapt.
