Any HVAC techs here?

I'm currently rethinking my career strategy since nothing has come up for me as far as an automotive tech positions so I'm thinking of going back to school and taking HVAC. I really enjoy working with tools and diagnosing problems. For those that are in it... do you enjoy it? How much harder is reading an electrical diagram compared to an automotive diagram? How would I go about getting experience if nobody is out to hire an inexperienced tech? (that's my problem getting on with autotive as I only have 2 years and no ASE certifications) Any feedback would be great!

I'm not an HVAC tech, but I was an automotive tech for 6 years with ASE certifications. Being an auto mechanic was fun for the first 3-4 years and after that it sucked. It can be a cut throat, starve to death type of work environment.

As a new tech if your going to stay in the automotive field find a shop that pays hourly non flag. I have seen to many newbie's lose money on flag hours. while trying to gain experience.
