Any Ford techs on here?

I've got a 2005 Mercury Montego that has been wrecked. The bodyshop has finished up their work 2 weeks ago and sent it me to clear the airbag light. I tried and came up with 2 codes. I replaced the RCM and they replaced the impact sensors. I still have a B2984 code for Deployable Steering Column circut open. Body shop has already replaced the clock spring twice, but I've followed the diag tree down to the RCM however I tested it and I get voltage and no open circuits anywhere. My question is do I need to replace the steering column per Alldata recommendation or the RCM again? P.S. I work for a GM dealership so we do not have the special Ford tools to check what you guys would.
