Who wins? Are you that freaking bored tonight? I guess I am cause I'm answering this lameo thread. :pat: Don't they have an XBOX or PSP racing game where you could do a simulation or some bullcrap like that? They do it all the time w/ sporting events.
I'll tell you who wins Mr. Video Game Dragracer...the local city municipality that arrests you DAs for racing and gets the big fat fine money in their pockets. ![]() Enjoy your night in PSP jail. ![]()

it doesnt matter if you win or lose, you're still retarded I in no way condone the bashing or humiliation of the handicapped, though i do feel jealous parking sometimes...

Anyways.... my guess is that the 2nd gen would win just because of the extra 2 cylinders. But that is only a guess, other factors would be weight, driver response, condition of engine, aftermarket add-ons, etc. I've heard the 3.0 is kinda sluggish so then again, I wouldnt' know.

the 3.0 if they are both matched trannies - ie auto on auto. if the 22re is a 5spd the it would probably win against a 3.0 auto. otherwise the 3.0 5spd beats everything hands down. This assumes that they are both tuned up, no lodd of compression, etc.
it has been known for a 3.0 5spd with 4.56 gears and the proper setup (air, timing) to beat a 4.7L domestic auto that has taller gears - ie 3.73 gears no bashing please - this was a purely theroetical answer - and NO do not try this at home - it will land your butt in jail for a night on street racing - which can be a felony in some areas

22RE has my vote. Depends on the driver, too. *EDIT* Alright, I looked at the post, and see where it went wrong. I apologize if it sounded like I was bashing you.

I bet if you took both the 3.0 and the 22RE and dropped them both off a cliff at the same distance the race would end in a TIE.
![]() The question is which one would drive away?

^^^22RE for sure!
I almost ran my Runner at the track a couple times this summer for Club Clash, but it wouldn't pass tech (no battery hold-down) and I was kinda strapped for cash. I'm thinking mid-20's with the 31's on it. It's slooooooow. ![]() Brian

thanks... MOST OF YOU. i was just curious.. it would be at a track of course.. i made this cause my friend had a 90 runner w/ a 3.0 manual and he thinks it would have killed my 88 runner 22re manual if i had mine back then..... now he has a 99 with the 3.4....
now i have no chance..haha

It all depends. A 22RE 5spd will beat a 3.0 auto, I know this for sure, and it wasn't even a race.

If those were street racing, I don't think any innocent bystanders would even be able to tell that a race was going on!

Haha, I have done such a thing, 3.0 on 35" MT's with 5.29's vs a 22re with 31" AT's stock gearing. The 3.0 SPANKED the 22re, no contest, hahaha. The 3.0 had a steel and aluminum flatbed while the 22re had a pair of fat guys in it.
