ammo cans

Does anyone know where I can get new ammo cans? Or fairly new? I need to use them as storage for ammo....LOL. Not using them for anything special. If you have any that you would like to get rid of, let me know!

Thanks!

I kinda want a newer one. I dont see a point of paying $11 for a used ammo can. Sorry, I know I'm being picky. :complain:

I got tons of uniforms at the local dry cleaners.
Unpaid bill=sold after 90 days.

Can't help with the ammo cans though. All mine are used, way cheaper that way & work as good as new.

many of the ammo boxes i've seen started out kinda dirty but really get quite new-looking if you take some 0000 steel wool to the paint. it smooths it really well, and takes off the rust. fwiw...

lucky for you...you are somewhat near a military base!

I guess Ill have to get a used ammo can. I found some new ones for 13$, but I'm guessing shipping would be killer.

do you have any used ammo cans you want to sell? How badly are they used? I guess scratches give them character...LOL

I get all my ammo cans from the local surplus stores or pawn shops. Shipping anything that bulky & heavy kills any kind of deal you can get I think. There aren't any local bases up there nearby? It's worth a drive to a military base town to find good surplus I've found.

My buddy gets all kinds of neat crap from here.
Ammo cans(I think he gets them here)
All kinds of BDU's (in bulk) some brand new still with tags. I have a few pairs of desert camo's Marine Corp issue "Buzz Off" made with insecticide in the clothes because I guess the fleas are really bad in Iraq.
If your ever in South Florida let me know he has tons of ammo cans some look brand new and camo's the shipping will kill ya on ammo cans though.

He's a great vendor. I always get my stuff delivered very quickly & packaged carefully. Highly recommended.

I'm actually one of the IT guys for this company. Great company and you can find some excellent deals, but the main draw back for average Joe's like us is all auction items must be picked up from the location where they are sold. They can't make any arrangements for shipping stuff. Great if you live near the base where the surplus you want is located. SOL for the rest of us.

I have found my ammo cans at military surplus shops and gun shows -- all were very cheap. $5-$7 bucks for .50 cal units. The ones at gun shows are usually in the best shape. Other than that, Cheaperthandirt.com does have some nice, new ammo cans but they are not military spec and they cost more. They will include the ammo can with bulk purchases.

I've gotten the large majority of my ammo cans from gun shows when I bought reloads at bulk. 1000 rounds of .40 and a free ammo can to go with
