Could be the ignitor. Or, if it is a 5 speed, maybe the clutch switch is going bad and not closing the circuit everytime it is pushed in.

If it cranks and won't start I would likely suspect both the igniter and the coil. Also make sure that the distributor bearing is not binding while you have the distributor out.I have seen alot more igniter/coil combos over the main relay on Integras at my dealership.Legends are the ones that usually have the Main Realy problems.Pull a plug wire and crank it with a spark plug in the wire up near a bolt(ground) tio see if you have spark. Also put your hand on the fuel filter to fell if it pulses for a quick fuel pressure check.Good Luck!! Send me a PM if you have any other questions.
![]() Oh yeah, pay attention to the screws that hold the wires to the igniter if they are put in wrong, the wires can not always make proper contact and can cause intermittent running and starting problems. Last edited by ScoTaco; 01-16-2006 at 08:34 AM. |

If it's an auto, make sure "P" on the dash lights up. I had that problem after I put in a new tranny. No light, No crank.

I had this exact same problem on my 92 Integra GS (5spd). Intermittent starting problem that I couldn't figure out. My solution was to trade it in and buy my 4Runner. Solved the problem right away.
Sorry I'm not more help but there is nothing I hate more than intermittent problems, they are hard to solve. Just before trading in the Acura (210K KM) it seemed to get a lot of those little problems.Good Luck!

Sounds like a good solution.
