If the engine is kept in good working order, you can expect around 15-18mpg city, 20mpg highway. There are a ton of threads discussing 3.0 mileage. There is even a poll on here about it.

It seems that a lot of people here seem to be getting between 12 and 14 mpg, you could say i'm one of the fortunate ones who gets 16-17 mpg regularly and 20 on long highway drives

I haven't figured it exactly lately, but I've never come close to 20 MPG, and have seen 10 MPG on a few occassions.
With the price of gas right now, I would skip a V6 second gen and be looking for a 4cyl first gen...

I'm getting 15 mpg on my 93 auto with an even mix of city and highway driving. That is with a very gingerly used right foot and 31s. Not a fair comparison, but my 92 4x4 22re truck was getting a solid 20 mpg with 31s.

Ya I've decided not to get this one. I need all the gas mileage I can get right now! There are a few other p/u trucks that have the same engine, some are toyota others are chevy V6's and the other is a Dodge V6......How about them?

You see, I want to step UP from where I was...but if my truck isn't too torn up, we are going to fix it because I like it so much.
