07 camry, ebrake wont disengage, HELP?

well the story is when my sister went to disengage the ebrake, the pedal retracts but the "brake" and the "abs" idiot lights are on.

in drive the car creeps foward like normal (so she says at least) but when you hit about 20 miles per hour the car seems to start "fighting" itself and its working way harder than usual.

does anybody know/heard/whatever anything regarding this issue? any info would be great.

If the brake light is on on your dash, you could possibly be low on fluid.
The cable could be seized up somewhere too.

If she is in SoCal like you I doubt it could be freezing up due to cold, but if she is elsewhere in the US and she drove through water it could be related to that.

Since it is an '07 what did the dealer say when she called them?

It's under warranty, including a free tow to the nearest Toyota dealer and a free loaner if the repair takes more than a day. Call one right away, don't drive it in that condition.

man I wish my 4runners were still under warranty lol. I'd make then come out the BFE just to get them everytime it broke down!

its an '07 make them pay for part of that $20,000 you just forked over.
