Harbor Freight - 9" HID Off Road Light -$99
Found these in Harbor Freight tonight. They also have them online. I don't own them, just thought I'd pass it along to anyone who might be looking for lighting. They look to be a good deal to me. Maybe if I get that new front bumper I'll consider getting them.

Correct me if I'm wrong (won't be the first time) don't all HIDs need a ballast? My HIDs require I remote mount 1 ballast per light and the user manual heredoesn't show any ballasts being installed in the circuit.. $100 for some HIDs would be awesome! What do you guys think? To good to be true?

They're $89 now, new sale ad arrived in the mail yesterday. So, what's so great about the HID again? Why would it be worth blowing $90 on some Harbor Freight chinese storefront driving lights? How much better are these than Hella 500's?
My Brake Piston Press Kit for Disk Brakes is on sale too. Two weeks ago I paid $30, now it's $20. So if you do your own brakes, try that piston press. It beats the heck out of C-Clamps!

The bulb is an HID bulb (or in more technical terms, a capsule)... But I too am curious where the ballast is... HID's have a ballast, there is no way around that. This really isnt too cheap for HID's anymore though, you can get the rebased kits (D2S bulbs that are rebased to fit into H1, H4, etc.) including ballasts on ebay for $75 shipped.

Hmmmm...i dunno. I'd rather spend the money on the Hella 4000's and swap for an HID conversion.
