Garmin StreetPilot c550 GPS Sweet Deal

I ordered one of these today. A year ago they went for $850, today for $220 delivered. Well, hopefully delivered, I'll let you know how the vendor performed next weekend.

All the reviews I could find indicate that this is a good mobile unit with all the features I'll need well into the future.

It's a great unit. My dad has one that I steal every time I take a trip . Please post up if it shows because that's a great deal that I may have to take advantage of.

I don't quite like the body style of the C series. I bought a Nuvi. But either way, a smokin deal is still a smokin deal.

Yeah, I wondered the same so stated in the order comments section that only a new, unused, etc. unit would be accepted.

Edit: I just clicked on the link again to get their phone # and see the price shot up to $335 overnight. Really, it was $220, I saved the screen capture. Sorry if you missed it.

I used one to get back today from Chicago took me the back roads all the way home in a 260 mile trip I spent at least 30 miles on gravel roads in rural Illinois.
was my first time using it so it may have been set to scenic or something.

Yeah that's typically an option. Avoid freeways, avoid tolls, avoid bridges. All sorts of stuff.
