The U.S. troops need your help
Hello guys and girls. This is Paul from 4Wheel Parts in Cleveland, OH. Some of you guys have bought stuff from me in the past and other's have gotten prices. I appreciate the business, but this is entirely a different matter.
For those that don't know 4Wheel Parts and it's employees started several months ago something call "Operation Light Sabre". What we are doing is sending lights to the troops over seas so that they can properly light up the roads they are traveling to make their excursions and patrols safer from IEDs, ambushes, and hazardous roads. This has made a huge impact on their safety. We started off with Bravo Company and within the past weeks several other company's and platoons from both the Army, Marines, and National Guard have requested help from us. You can read an e-mail at the bottom of the post from one such request. So I am asking all you guys and girls for your help. Here is how you can help. You can donate money to the "Operation Light Sabre" or you can buy light packages as your donation. Here is the awesome part though... Whatever you donate 4Wheel Parts matches to the penny or if you buy a light kit we put a free one in your name too. How you can do this is either online at 4wheelparts.com or through me at my store. I would love it if you guys called or "PM'd" me. The reason being is that I am the only 4Wheel Parts store that actively persues your business and I track your purchases for our company. When someone from Yotatech makes a donation that goes into our system under Yotatech with your name attached. Together we can really make a difference for the military and have Yotatech as a whole be a part of that. For clarification, the donations can be any amount; most donations are from $5 on up. If you want to check out the light packaged go to this link and check them out: http://www.4wheelparts.com/bravo.aspx Again, I hope you call me so we can track Yotatech's donations. If you know someone that is not part of Yotatech that would like to participate still have them call me and it will be placed under Yotatech's group. You can reach me at Work: 216-267-6668 12/15 -> 9am - 5pm (all times eastern) 12/16 -> 9am - 5pm 12/17 -12/21 -> 9am - 8pm 12/22 - 12/24 -> 9am - 5pm If you cannot call me during those times send me a pm and I will shoot you my cell so you can call me after hours. I look forward to the calls coming in and I know the troops will appreciate the support from Yotatech. ****Moderators and Admins: I understand this is placed in several different places within the forum. If you could sticky them and overlook this breach of Yotatech rules I would greatly appreciate it. If you need to talk to me shoot me a PM with your Phone number and I will gladly call you or have the President of 4Wheel Parts call as a last resort to legitamize this post.****** ************* The E-Mail ************* -----Original Message----- -----Original Message----- From: Rodriguez, Joseph S SPC NG NG FORSCOM [mailto:"deleted for privacy"] Sent: Thursday, December 06, 2007 10:56 PM To: president@4wheelparts.com Subject: Lighting Hello, My name is CPL. Joseph S. Rodriguez. I am from Dallas, Texas and have been a customer with 4 Wheel Parts for over 10 years. 4 Wheel Parts in Dallas and Plano have always put my lift-kits on all my 4 wheel drive vehicles. I am currently on Title 10 orders for the Texas National Guard (called to active-duty) to serve another deployment in Iraq. My unit from Texas is <edit>. My duty consist of being lead gunner for our Hum-vee convoy security team. I read your article on Bravo Company, 2-27 Infantry and wanted to see if it would be possible to assist our lighting needs as well. <We>currently runs convoy escort security missions for logistical supplies from southern to northern Iraq. We only travel at night, so lighting up the road to identify Improvised Explosive Devices(IEDs) and Explosive Formed Penetrators(EFPs) keeps my fellow soldiers safe and alive. The IEDs and EFPs are the number one killer on the road for us. We run Hum-vees and ASVs (armored security vehicles) for our missions. The current lighting we do have is extremely insufficient, constantly breaking, and extremely short supply for parts and replacement lamp bulbs. We are very limited on funding because we are only over here a company size unit. We are based in Balad, Iraq at LSA Anaconda. <edit> Like any soldier, my number one priority is taking care of my fellow soldiers. My men and I would greatly appreciate if 4 Wheel Parts could help us in our efforts. Thank you for any assistance you can assist us with in this matter. CPL. Joseph S. I am forwarding this email to our magazine editor, Denis Snow, who has been leading the charge to get the lights to Bravo Company. We will follow up with you. Thanks and be safe!
