hmm, dunno fellas, i think this one might be legit. i've checked the site and they use USS co, which is a very recognized auction system in japan. same place other importers i've seen also use. i got my surf from a guy in BC and his site, and all others are all pretty much the same. lot's of middle men involved but the end product is a high quality used trucky, barely used, for a decent price. just think, a turbo diesel HDJ81, in mint shape, lockers, roof racks, low mileage (i've seen as low as 25K miles), for around 14 to 19G $...lot's of these in canada now and most are legit. these guys tho, probably should have a landed legit contact in n. america where they have stock already there (plated and registered under the dealer who's legit), it's the process that needs to be trustworthy... this is a growing market in canada. currently we have a 15 year old rule, meaning you can't ship a car in that's newer than 15 years, which is why we're getting lots of cruisers and 4 runners in the early 90's...and i'm seeing a few more places pop up in southern ontario, but dozens in the west coast! all turbo diesel, low mileage, mint. but like always, buyers beware, do your research...so far so good on my hiluxsurf... got it with only 56K kms, now i'm at 122K kms... 'bout 25 mpg...can't go wrong.

yeah, i think these guys are good (no relation to them, lol!). they are one of the middle men in japan and they're taking the opportunity to reach out from japan and get people over the pacific interested so they'll deal for them... their prices are cheaper and from what i've researched for the cost of sending and paperwork, (customs, taxes, inspection, etcc..) the cost would be about the same once it's sold here, then the guys here will prolly make a couple grand after selling. just take out the last 2 zeros from the yen price and that'l get you dollars, approx. 'bout 14000 for an hj61 and i see them sell for about 18,000 in canada, about right. since they cater to around the world, you'll see much newer vehicles, the ones in canada are all 92 and under at the moment...

yeah, low cuz i think that's the price straight from japan, you still have to put it on a ship, wait for it for a month or two, get all the paperwork done once it arrives on the west coast, get it it inspected, VIN number attached, customs, taxes, then further shipping to the east coast. that adds a few more grand, so when it finally sits at a dealer say in ontario, the guys will prolly ask around 15 for it. BJ74's are goin for about 18g's and up. the guys that do get them, usually find the best auction grade one's. you guys have to see these trucks in person. immaculate!

this sounds great japan-car. so what you guys are pushing for is that we can skip the n.american middle man/private dealer, and get from you guys straight, with your help to import, yes?? is there a contact for someone in canada or are we dealing straight with japan contacts??

i noticed you had a nice red HDJ81, but no price, curious what the costs would be say for someone in n.america, once it's registered to their name??

For some reason they blurred the background. Look at the second pic, see how the trees are blurred, but not through the plastic windows.
