Thumbs up 3.4L "O" Gasket Mod - $6 Shipped

If you didn't already know, the 5VZFE 3.4L V6 has a restrictive, metal, D-shaped throttle body gasket. Replace it with an optimally-designed, fiber, O-shaped gasket.

Benefits:
  • Eliminates the 1psi "penalty" created by the OEM D gasket on supercharged applications.
  • Improves throttle response.
  • Reduces heat transfer.
  • Compliments/completes other intake mods such as the deckplate and ISR elimination mods.

Please visit my site, www.rimpainter.com. You'll find the "O" Gasket "Buy Now" button along the right side, on any page. WA state customers please select the 2nd option for sales tax purposes.

Thank you!

New vs. Old (thanks Elton)

I'd love to sell to Canadians! The problem is that international shipping becomes costly and time consuming for a small part like this. So I would have to mark it up to about $10 to even be worth it.

If it's something you need that bad, please let me know.

Thanks, and sorry about the inconvenience!

By no means am I going to sit here and claim some outlandish HP gain or anything . However, I will stand by the last 3 bullets in my first post for N/A applications.

I am all for efficiency and reducing intake path bottlenecks. This mod is just one piece of the pie (albeit a small one).

Do all of the 3rd Gen trucks have a "D" instead of an "O"? I have a 2001 4x4 with A/T.

Thanks.

Wait..whut?
If I have a 1st Gen SC, does it have a D-ring or an O-ring? I was reading your first bullet point as an additional psi on top of the 7.5 psi already being generated.

I don't know what the 1st gen kits came with; I assume the O gasket. You can tell by looking at the throttle body. If you see silver, it's a D. If it's carbon/dark gray, it's the O.

My point on the 1st bullet is that you will lose up to 1psi if your rig is SC'd and is running the D gasket. You won't go to 7.5psi.

Thanks!

(And thanks Elton!)
