I just did mine a few weeks ago. I put the whole third member in my grill and let it sit in there for about 10 mins or so (about the time it took to get everything set up and ready) then just welded the gears where the come together. Just take your time and go slow. Then when its done put it back in the grill and let it cool slowly.

Ive seen a lot of different ways of doing it. Like filling all the teeth in so the gears cant move, welding a piece of flat bar onto the teeth or even welding another spider gear onto the gears.

But so far so good for mine just welded together.

do a complete job and make sure you weld the spider gears to the outside and not just to eachother.

clean out the slag... it will ruin your seals if you dont
