spring bushings
on my truck i have the all pro 6 inch lift long travel leafs up front, which i am very happy with. when i ordered them i also ordered their shackle kit too just to save time and it was greasable and everything. the bushings have been on the truck for about 4 months now and they were pretty much worn out, i had a death wobble problem that started so i replaced the bushing with the set that came with the leafs and its fine again now but i was wondering if yall are having these problems and how yall are fixing them, maybe someone makes a firmer bushing or something.

Make sure the shackle side plates evenly contact the lip of the bushings and are not hitting at an angle as that can chew up the bushings in short order. Also, w/ greaseable shackles, use only polyurethane bushings. I generally get many years out of a set of front bushings on my '85.

If your spring hangars arent straight you'll go thru bushings very very quickly! That could also be the source of your death wobble

Could also be the spring hangers are built for a different width spring than what you have in there. When I built my front hangers, I made them wide enough to handle a 2-1/2" wide spring even though my Toyota springs were 2-3/8" wide. I just slip in a washer on each side of the hanger to take up the gap between the hanger and the bushings.

well i built the hangers for the Toyota springs but i guess when i welded it on the sides of the hanger pulled in, i didn't look real bad to me though so i left it. in the rear one of my spring hangers is bent from a rock and ive never had a problem with it. those are also non poly urethane bushings, so they are a little stiffer. i ordered new bushings from all pro and as soon as they get here i will be straighting them out and seeing if that fixes my problem. which from the looks of it it should
