From AT's to MT's?

I currently have 30x9.5 BFG AT's on my 85 4runner. Im planning on upgrading to some 33x11.5 BFG MT's.
Are they really as loud as people claim?
I still have the factory carpet and sound proof stuff in my runner. Would it help to put some better insulation in or something?

The BFG M/T's aren't as loud as other brands...

Not loud at all. Just rotate them every oil change like I do.
