Rock sliders ?
I am thinking about buying a set of rock sliders from stubbs welding. I was wondering if any of you have a set of there sliders and how you like them. The look and sound pretty solid from the research I've done, just wanted an opinion from someone that has them. Also, if you have them which do you prefer the 15 or 30 degree cant? At first I was thinking 30 degree, but with the roof rack the 15 degree might be nice to have a step up to load/unload the rack. Thanks for any info

I've had the 15 degree sliders for about 1 year (my wife is short so the lesser angle was needed for her to get in). I would estimate that they saved my 2000 4runner from serious damage about 2-3 times already (I even sent him a "thank you" after tipping my vehicle in a washout and being dragged back on to 4 wheels - the sliders were scratched but the body panels were saved - that incident alone sold me on the value of body armor)
Secondly, Richard is a great guy to deal with - he answered my questions in a very prompt fashion.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending his sliders - not only from a product standpoint but also for great customer service.

Definatly Stubbs. Unfortunatly I don't have any experience with the sliders because I just ordered them last week, but as soon as I get them I will let you know. I do have experience with body damage and the sliders could have paid for themselves 3 times over with what I paid in body repair for one small incident.

Love 'Em
Not as beefy as custom, If you want solid square tubing and strength then the only way to go is custom...
If you are on a budget and want the protection these sliders offer and don't plan on doing SUPER hard rock trails then these are for you.
I added a gusset weld to the tubes for reinforced strength.
Richard is the man.
But, once you see these sliders next to custom ones done by Rockware or Sonoran...well, you'll know where the extra money went those guys spent.

Get the Stubbs
Get his sliders, they are very well built, super clean welds, aestheticly pleasing, they complement 4Runner lines very nicely. Richard will bend over backwards to make sure your satisfied. I had the top Rhino Lined and painted the bottoms. They look like the Toyota factory made them!
